Speaker Humming
« on: July 29, 2014, 05:47:34 PM »

Can anyone tell me why my kit speakers start humming when I plug in the Harley Auxiliary brake light/running light/turn signal conversion kit #69462-06C.  I have a 2004 CVO Electric Glide. Any help would be great. Thanks Roger

I had a radio static problem with my 04 SEEG. Turned out it was a loose battery ground cable. The bike never showed any signs like hard starting on anything like that. Once I snugged down the cable all was good.

Checked cables, they are tight. I forgot to mention that the radio is not on when it is humming.

Check grounds

Was it plug and play or did you have to make connections on your own?

It was plug and play. Plugged into the rear light harness under the seat. Ran a wire from the speaker bracket to the negative on the battery and that did not help.
