Title: Portsmouth Harbour
Post by: Bav on February 25, 2019, 08:47:16 AM
Was down in Portsmouth for work today. Weather here in the UK is fabulous at the moment. 17C (63F). Had to catch the Gosport / Portsmouth ferry and saw the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier. Not as big as your Nimitz class but we’re proud of her.

In contrast also saw HMS Warrior 1860, Britain’s first iron-hulled, armoured battleship.

Still, that is one BIG ship (or as the submariners call them "targets") and dang right you should be proud.  A great lady named after a great lady.

I'm with Muddy, that iron clad is a beauty....

Is HMS Prince of Wales still scheduled to begin sea trials late this year?
