Speedometer Leaks
« on: October 24, 2018, 12:35:25 PM »

When did people first see the water leaks in the 2017 CVO Limited speedometer's? My bike arrived at the dealer March 13,2017. I'm thinking the speedometers were leaking from the first 2017 they built. I'm having a conversation with Harley over this.

As best I can remember, this problem was reported on the first Rushed More bikes back in 2014 with the new automotive style instrument cluster.  I expect it will take at least until the 2020 model to come up with a fix, considering history tends to show about six years seems to be how long it takes Harley to address design and quality issues.

Had the gauges replaced about a year ago on my 17, they are doing it again but is less noticeable so far.  2020 or maybe 2025.

LOL!  I just continue to shake my head at this company.  My 16 SG about to go back on trade for my 19 RG coming mid December had 3 clusters replaced and  is being traded in with the same issue.  I bought my wife a 18 114 Heritage Softail with of course the single gauge and it is the same way and being replaced.  It appears the credit they are receiving from the supplier is easier then fixing the issue!  Just amazing.

Yes, problem is common to all the RushedMore bikes.  I had mine replaced under warranty three times then gave up.

However, it's NOT water - it's a very viscous oily coating the manufacturer puts on the inside of the glass to prevent them misting up.
