Headset Cord Length
« on: September 16, 2007, 12:08:27 AM »

does anyone know where I can get a longer connector cord for the headset?  I've been using mine for over a month and it STILL feels like I'm fighting it all the time. I've got the HD headset mounted in a KJC shorty helmet (which I like a lot).

Thanks.......

Sorry, but I don't know where a longer cord can be obtained.

It's a standard DIN connector so you can buy or make one. The parts can be had at Radio Shack. Before that, try hanging a something on the cord and leave it overnight. It'll stretch it out some and probably be ok.

Ultimately, you'll want to pitch it and get a JM headset. That will occur right after the harley cable pops loose from the helmet side and puts a chip in your gas tank.

Or you could wire tie the connector to the helmet side but I can't say what will happen to your head if you ever leave the bike suddenly!  ???
