I agree that the rally has improved, and more are showing up........but it has a long way to go to ever contend with the crowds that hung out just a few yrs ago.

I think the increased vendor fees and cutting back the number of days that their licenses are valid is and has been one of the key problems still not solved.  Horry County needs to address that problem.

Meantime,  one can enjoy most all of the rally on the North end and the South end too without ever going into M. Beach itself.  I live in Sunset Beach, N.C. just about 12 miles north of the bridge going into No. M. Beach and I hope that things improve.  Meantime,  we are about to get into Black Bike Week which shares in the (majority of) the resentment and problems brought about in the past few yrs.  Been there and seen that......

This was/is the same at both Daytona events.

However I must admit I saw several cases of Blacks policing Blacks in order to minimize the damage and thievery that some were inflicting.

Most not all of these people are collwge students who undertand the impact to thier future if they end up with a criminal record for something stupid. Unfortunately there are more than a few bad apples who ruine it for the rest.

One matter is for certain if you attend a Bike Rally in the South…You are going to see confederate symbols here and there…

Needless to say there have been a number of changes since my last Myrtle Beach Bike Week…Sure hope this business did not close down as a result of lack of bikers!

Don’t worry…there are plenty more of them and better too!
