What they dont show is how she got going from a dead stop or how she stopped it when she was done

Right foot up on the brake pedal, left foot down to hold you up.

Mount the bike, straighten the handlebars (bikes are easier to up right with the bars straight) drop the right foot to hold you up, up right the bike and kick up the side stand, swap back over and drop the left foot to hold you up. Right foot on the rear brake, and ride off.

At 5'7", that's the only way I can ride those tall BMW GS dual sports or a tall dirt bike. Those bikes are too tall for me to reach the ground with both feet.

Can't touch the ground.
Can't reach the shifter.

How safe is that?

its not. she's in a controlled environment. hell she cant even legally leave the parking lot. what happens when she gets all cocky about her new found controlled environment skills and takes daddy's e-glide out for a joy ride after school one day?

Yeah.... it loses some of the impact when it's all discovered.  I've got 1200 hours in single engine aircraft and about 600 in twins.  Which is to say I'll someday be a good pilot.  But have ridden with friends who were great at hold the aircraft straight and level in the semi-controlled environment of clear air.  They coudn't taxi, take-off or land.  So no matter how cocky they felt they weren't pilots.  Monkeys went to space but it's a stretch to call them astronauts too.

Let the girl grow up a little or get her on a bike she can operate.  The skills are there.  But it's hard to give too much credit for a specific bike when you need a step stool and a helper to get on or stop.

Impressive riding skills, but that's not the whole picture of riding a bike.  I have a feeling, if she keeps riding e-glides and doesn't get any taller, she'll be using that bike lifting technique a lot.  She barely was on her one tip-toe holding the bike up; and when she rides the bike, she almost has to sit on the tank to reach the rear brake pedal.  Definitely not a good thing to show people IMO...

All shortcomings aside, no pun intended, I am still impressed with her skills.  I have taken plenty of courses before and I have seen plenty of "salty" riders who don't have her ability... even if they can touch the ground.    I say, good for her.

As someone who has coached kids and worked with them at school, I try to keep in mind that she is still growing and learning. Her mind is still developing and her body is still maturing. She will no doubt only get better as time goes by and this applies not only to motorcycling but everything she puts her mind and heart too. She's only 15 so I'm thinking that motorcycling is only one small aspect of her high school life right now.

Whenever I hear that a person is "too small" or "too slow", or anything like that I think back to the story of a man whose looked more like a grocery store clerk than a football player. He had poor eye sight, was born with one leg longer than the other and did not have blazing speed at a position that requires it. All his life he had been told that he just did not have what it took to be a football player. His first two years in the league were spent living in dread of getting cut. Yet on the day he retired he held EVERY record (since then broken) that a wide reciever could have.  Imagine how poorer the world of the NFL would have been if Raymond Berry had listened to the nay sayers and never played. Unitas to Berry, no one could argue the success of those two.
