Frame Lock
« on: January 25, 2014, 12:14:12 PM »

Is anyone using any of the frame lock type systems instead of the wheel chock systems? Getting ready to set a trailer up and was wondering how these systems are working. The idea looks really good.

What kind of trailer are you planning on?

I mention that because something like my toy hauler, because of the load height and ramp angle makes the bikes frame clearance an issue.

If I were to use the frame clamp type my bike would get hung up in the space between the ramp and the floor.

Have a 7x14 low profile Haulmark and the ramp is extended into the trailer maybe 16" so the angle and the chance of hanging up doesn't appear to be a problem. Looking at the video and pictures on Frame Locks website it doesn't look as though the clamps that bolt on the frame would change the ground clearance enough to be a hazard while riding.
