HOG Event - Rock Rythm and Blues Tour
« on: February 09, 2011, 12:22:21 PM »

Anybody consideringsigning up for this event?  A couple of CVO Owners Group forum members from PA are planning to go.

Here is the itinerary from the HOG members area.

New Orleans
We'll kick things off on June 2 in the home of jazz, with a welcome party at a unique venue in the heart of New Orleans. Before leaving for Memphis, you'll have a whole day to explore the city and check out attractions such as Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, sample the amazing Creole and Cajun cuisine, or take a tour of the city's ghostly haunts. On June 4th we'll leave for Memphis, with an overnight stay in Meridian, Mississippi. Leaving Meridian don't miss the opportunity to ride the famous Natchez Trace Parkway!

Memphis
In Memphis – home of Rhythm & Blues, Elvis Presley, and world-famous barbecue – you'll again have a whole day to explore. Take in Graceland, tour the Gibson Guitar factory and museum, or go for a ride - we'll have great routes scouted out in the surrounding countryside. We'll also have a list of discounted attractions you can enjoy.
On Monday night we'll rock the famous Beale Street entertainment district with an exclusive party for tour participants and local H.O.G. members (see below for details). The ride to Nashville will include a dealer poker run, with great prizes for anyone who stops at all five designated dealerships along the way.

Nashville
Nashville is nicknamed "Music City" for a reason. While country rules the day here, this dynamic city has attracted and become home to musicians of all genres. To celebrate this amazing heritage, we'll be helping the city kick of the 40th Annual CMA-Fest by taking part in the opening parade on Wednesday morning, followed by lunch at the world-famous Wild Horse Saloon - but not before taking in a performance of the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday night. A downtown block party Wednesday afternoon will close out the official Nashville rally activities.
On Thursday morning, we'll ride through amazing hills and mountains on the way to an overnight stop in Charleston, West Virginia.

Cleveland
Since it opened its doors in 1995 on the shores of Lake Erie in downtown Cleveland, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has been a destination of choice for music fans around the world. To bring things to a musical climax on June 10, you'll be treated to an exclusive private party there – a chance to enjoy the museum the way few others can. On Saturday we'll send you on your way with a hearty breakfast. If you're so inclined, be sure to check out Ohio Bike Week in Sandusky (about 70 miles west of Cleveland; www.ohiobikeweek.com) before heading for home.

I was planning to go. I am an usual HOG Rally rider every year but I will pass the oportunity this year to ride with the people from this site. Going to Eureka Spring, AR and then "Don's Traveling Circus" heading to the RibFest (it's a must). Finally in September to Maggie Valley. :drink:
