Title: Front fork rebound spring.
Post by: fl1996nos on June 17, 2019, 06:30:24 PM
Working on a friends 2009 Street glide. Installing a progressive lowering kit. When I disassembled the front forks there was no rebound spring under the damper rod. Does anyone know of any reason that might be? Or might there be a kit in it that does not use the rebound spring? Bike was used when purchased and forks have never been apart while friend has owned it. Also, reassembled with OE rebound spring and 1 progressive spring to lower 1 inch but seems really low. Worried fender might hit crash bar. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There should have been a rebound spring stock.  If you want to see exactly what came stock and don't have a shop manual, try this link for an exploded parts view and parts list.
