Ok, here's what I know...
I just got off the phone with my Service Manager and H-D says there is a problem with the rear wheel on 120 out of 2500 units. The problem is with the heat treatment that was done and it requires the wheel to be pulled off the bike and the tire removed to inspect the inside of the wheel. The kits will not be available until the 17th and will not be shipped until a problem is reported by the dealer.
My Service Manager recommended not riding the bike any more than necessary until it could be inspected.

I was told the same thing by my service manager.
My question to him was does that mean a bike has to be brought in, inspected and then a kit ordered?
I asked, what if someone was planning on a trip in the next few days?
He was like, "damn Chip, let me get back to you."
He's a great service manager, he will call me back.
