Stay away from Wayah Rd. in western NC!
« on: June 09, 2009, 10:14:32 AM »

Brian (103Thunder) and I rode Wayah Road last week.  If you're not familar with Wayah Rd. it runs between Hwy 64 and 74 in western North Carolina.  First time I had been on it in about two years.  It has some great turns and the pavement has always been marginal.  Now it has about a five mile section that is covered with loose gravel.  Luckily it hadn't rained in a few days and the cars had beaten out about a 12 inch path.  Even with that it was 20mph max and a b**** to ride!
 :nervous:

So until all the loose gravel washes off I'd stay away!

Life's journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out shouting Holy Chit......... What a Ride!
