I would like to hear some opinions on the Skunk CVO color.  I am in Germany and ordered one about 2 weeks ago.  Being in Germany I never got a chance to see one in person and there does not seem to be alot of photo on the web.  Anyway  I was wondering how gold the gold looks in the white, I really hate gold color.... but the photos I have seen it does not look to be a gold white.

Gold  I've seen many up close and I never noticed Gold.  Maybe someone that owns one will weigh in on this subject.

I've really only noticed the gold in the ghosted smoke...but I saw only one and it was indoors.

Saw one outdoors this weekend and didn't see gold in the white. I think the paint color name is a bit misleading. White gold isn't gold in color but it is still considered gold. This color is more  a pearl white than anything to do with the color gold. The white popped with some tiny flake and shimmered nicely. What surprised me was I saw green color in the smoke graphics. It wasn't grey or black colored smoke but almost an OD green. It was OK but I was just surprised by the color.

The only other thing I don't like about this model is the skull emblems. I realize that is a personal choice and could be easily changed. Other than that, I lust after this model. i love the blue/black but actually like the skunk a bit better.

You made a great choice and will be very happy with it!

Pictures do not do that bike justice!  I saw one at my dealer and just love the color.  To me the white looks pearl, depending on which angle you look at it the color changes.  I've seen all three versions of the 12 SERG in person and by far I like the skunk the best.

Hey welcome to the Skunk family. You will love this bike. As mentioned, the white is a pearl color and has a greenish/yellow tint when the sun hits it at the right angles. I dont have any pics to show that.  Here is one I have of the black / gold.

There is gold all over this bike!  It's in the pinstripe and ghost flames.  Really pops in the sun.  Actually looks really good.

Kinda bites wanting to check things out in person and just going with a gut instinct. I haven't seen them either and sure would like to. Problem is that unless you're in Sturgis when they're released it's doubtful that you or I will be able to see them all. But hey you have some wiggle room on resale going the way you did on your purchase. Good call and congrats on your purchase. I'm pretty sure you'll like it though. Well....what do I know.

Yea I did. The local store made me an offer that I could not turn down. 2K below MSRP out the door. So I made the jump. I'll have to rearange my garage to fit it in. But I think I can get it done.

I guess I should have been more clear ~ The white appears to be a pearl without any gold integrated in the white paint.  Gold ghost flames and pinstriping, yes.  Whew  I feel better now
