Title: Any one remove the black from 2014 wheels?
Post by: DragCVO on November 23, 2014, 10:09:36 AM
i am considering removing the black from the slots of the wheels to look like the 2013 all chrome wheels. Has anyone done this? Any thoughts on the outcome of the look on my bike would be appreciated...

I love the rims on the 2013 think they would look awesome on your bike ,but they are a pain to clean takes about 20 min a wheel

Probably would be nicer looking if you just purchased new wheels.  I like the contrast on the 14s, pretty easy cleaning wise too.

I think I can end this thread by saying that I have compared the looks further, i really do appreciate the contract look over the all chrome... Thanks for the input!

Now onto working with Kraftwerks to release their supercharger & installing my "Christmas list" of ordered parts...

Here in Australia at least , it would appear the majority of 2014 CVO Breakout owners have retrofitted the 2013 Chrome wheel package.

Eye wateringly expensive to do here , over $3500 which will be close to $4K USD !

2014 Black wheels are available plenty cheap on ebay etc as a result ( they only fit the Breakout !)

I have a 2013 , and the wheels are lovely indeed , but a REAL PAIN to keep clean and polished , especially in our omnipresent seabreeze in Western Australia !

So be careful what you wish for haha....

Black pipes would help tie your 14 wheels in with the bike better imo. I put a black d&d low cat on my orange 14' because there was soo much chrome on and around the engine. Looks good.
