Astech seat modification reviews?
« on: May 15, 2015, 02:46:28 PM »

Has anyone here had the company called Astech do any modification work to their seat? I am considering having them do their gel and foam mods to mine while in Sturgis this year. I figured I would ask for any reviews that may be available here first. I tried to find some info on them using the search button but did not find very much. The seat I am currently using is the Harley touring Sunray heated seat.

Never had heard of them but looked them up, seems they do some great things to keep you in the saddle.  Very interesting approach may be the way to go.

I was hoping to find some reviews on them before letting them do their thing in Sturgis. I could not find much on the rest of the internet as far as reviews go on them. Maybe that is good news because it seems human nature is to flood the internet with bad reviews with a negative experience while not saying much at all with a positive experience :nixweiss:

From what I saw I like their product. I like my OEM seat but hate the fake shark skin gray inserts. May ride to see them get it recovered in black and let them do their magic on the foam. Not sure how to work it in before Ouray.

I called them and spoke with them. I am gonna let them do their gel and memory foam work on my Sunray heated seat while in Sturgis this year. I also may let them recover mine with real leather and reat Stinray inserts. They can't do the re-covering while in Sturgis so that may have to wait until winter.

What kind of turn around time are they giving you while at Sturgis?

A few hours supposedly. But I am sure it will depend on how slammed with work they are.
