tread wear on tires
« on: May 20, 2008, 08:34:49 PM »

Anyone replace the tires on your springers? 1. How many miles did you get out of them?                                        2. What did you repace them with?

I got 4500 on the rear and 5500 on the front. Dealer said that 200mm does wear rather quickly, but most of it is from my driving style. I never do burn-outs, but I do shift rather hard.

1st tyres 10743 km = 6675.390 miles,   still going strong. mostly on european highway, starting to show wear down the middle, will have 2 take more back roads.

What kind of tire are you going to replace it with?

I replaced both of mine with the Dunlops that originally came on the bike, but I'm seriously considering going with Metzlers on my next replacement.
