Ok, I've had my 08 SSE2 for three months now. I bought the Sundowner seat for it, have the removable windshield and medium backrest for the wife. I took one trip with the stock seat and regretted that 1 trip due to ass ache! The Sundowner seat is PERFECT. Wife loves it and the backrest. I have not had the need to use the windshield yet, maybe on a really big trip? The luggage rack is excellent for strapping on some extra clothes. Since I got this used (2800 miles) I've put abut 3200 miles on it and haven't had any issues, no oil leaks, nothing I can see wrong at all.

I've had to wipe it down a lot, and give it a good wash every other week, using the Turtle Wax Ice Car Wash soap which leaves no water spots. I use the Turtle Wax Ice paste and hit it with the Ice spray and it truly looks like a show bike all the time. Chrome gets Turtle Wax chrome polish every other week if needed where needed. Bugs and dirt come off instantly with a warm water wipe.

I park next to some upscale customs: Big Dog, Iron Horse, Bourgette... each time somebody sees the real Harley, they stop point and look for a long time at the bright orange Harley. I have never been anywhere that someone didn't make it point to come over and tell me what a great bike it is.

Guess I better keep it clean eh?

Yep, it's a great bike.  There must be alot of people out there that put on an expensive 2800 miles, since I just picked up my '08 with about that same mileage on it for a steal.  I've added about 1800 miles since and it's been great all around.

If you haven't already, check at your local dealer to be sure the recall work has been done on your bike, it had not been done on mine yet.

I put the removable windshield from Harley on mine, and I'm very happy with it.  When I bought my bike it was from a dealer 1500 miles away, and I flew down one-way to get it then rode home.  So I had them put on the windshield and luggage rack before I showed up.

Still LOVIN this bike! I have over 9k miles on it now, keeping it clean is not too bad, I can get my fat hand in just about all the nooks. Taking it down to Myrtle Beach and Charleston a good bit, dumpin the throttle and it hauls ass! I was going to put a cam in it but I like it just fine the way it is. The V&H 2 into 2's were mapped by the dealer here with the SERT and it's doing perfect. It's a bit flashy for some folks but I gotta tellya - it's a hot bike!

Great looking bike, Dig the seat.  I wasnt a big fan of the stock one either went with the corbin gunfighter.  These are a blast to ride
