I will steal one from 1abastarsmda (Dave) on his long trek to Eureka Springs he had in his travel bag Zip-Lock bags (the big ones) for everyday of clothes. He laid them out on the bed and had 5 days worth in a small area, I am guessing he just laid them flat in his TP or straight up and down in his saddle bags. I was really impressed, in each bag was a t-shirt, socks and drawers. Then he just put them back in the bag at the end of the day for transport home. Great idea that I had never seen before.

I use the space bags. They take up less space and will carry clean or dirty clothes. One large space bag will hold: 1 pair jeans; 2 shirts
( short or long sleeve ); 2 pair underware; & 2 pair socks. Four loaded space bags will fit in each saddle bag liner with room for toiletries
and 750ml. plastic bottle of Bourbon. ( for snake bites! here snake, here snake)
Tools fit under the saddle bag liners and there is still room for a pair of sneakers on top.
Tour pack carries leathers, extra helmet, extra gloves, important papers ( registration, insurance, & toilet ) ;D
Glove boxes carry glasses, smokes, wallet, cell phone, & keys.
Lowers storage for camera, sun screen, small flashlight, and extra batteries.
Tour pack rack bag holds the kitchen and the back seat bag carries the tent, air mattress, sleeping bag, and small 12v air compressor.
This works out pretty good if you don't mind tripping the scales at about 1200 to 1300 lbs.
If the wife goes I pull the trailer, then everything rides in the trailer and we don't camp!
I have found it is real easy just to put every thing in the trailer even when wife doesn't go. Just too easy! ;)
Just another 2 cents worth.

That's the newer models Bill. I think it's the 08 and up.  Works fine on those of us riding older models.

Yeah, Anne has left our backup key in the tourpac on more than one occasion...alarm no arm that way...

They're allowed a v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n  :orange: :orange:  But if they're posting pictures everyday & then nothing for a few days...... We like our CVO family & get concerned when they don't check in for a couple of days.

Wear bicycle riding shorts with padded crotch to ward off "monkey butt".   Wear waterproof riding suit like Aerostich Roadcrafter or Darien jacket and pants...great protection in case of crash and no need for rainsuit.  Not as stylish as leathers, though.  Full face helmet and electrics for cold weather.

Does anyone else wear these?  I've heard of this before but they just don't sound very comfortable.

Bring a spare key and fob "just in case".  Either give it to someone you are riding with (trade spare keys) or zip tie it under the seat.  This way if you a lose a key or the battery goes dead in the fob, you aren't stuck out in the middle of nowhere.

Also remember your sequence of buttons to push in the event your key fob goes dead. I also bring my spare key & switch off with someone else's spare in our group.
