CVO Road King 2014 auxiliary lights
« on: July 29, 2014, 04:45:13 PM »

Met a guy at the weekend at the Fenlanders Rally here in the UK who had fitted auxiliary lights to his FLHRSE6. I love the look and am saving up to get them for mine. What does everyone think?

Anyone fitted them? Are they easy to wire in?

I have fitted aux lights on my 13 rk and I also moved the indicators off the handlebars and mounted them under the driving lights. imho I think it looks much better(see pic)  and fills the front end in, and of course adds more shiny bling !!!! :)

Sorry forgot to say, they are very easy to wire in. All the wiring for the aux switch is right there in the headlamp.

This is my rendition of the 2013 CVO RoadKing. I went old school. The aux switches on the back of the headlamp nacelle are shunted, all the wiring is there all you have to do is a quick splice. Don't forget to seal it with the heat shrink wrap for waterproofing. I took the bullet turn indicators off completely when I changed out the handlebars.

It looks like the windscreen has to go away in order to mount the daymaker lights on the 2014. Is this correct?

The windscreen fits with aux lights installed.

Love the lights. Was the turn signal relocation a separate part? Would you be kind enough to supply part numbers?

Thanks.

The indicators were removed from the handlebars by disconecting the wiring in the headlight nacelle and pulling them slowly out of the handlebars and the switch housings (not difficult but you need to go slow to avoid damaging the wiring)
I then was able to reuse the indicators and wiring complete and mount them on the new aux light brackets.
I am sorry I cant find the invoice with the part numbers but the brackets were the same ones as on the cvo ultra and the aux lamps are standard four and a half inch Harley issue but of course trim rings and light units are extras..
If I can find the invoice with part numbers on I will post them asap.
Also as stated in one of the above posts there is no problems with windscreen fitment (I have 3 different types and they all fit and dismount as normal)

I posted this in a prior discussion but this is what I (or rather, my local dealer) used:

73396-10A: Aux, lamps led 4 inch
69227-04A: custom passing lamp bracket kit
69230-04:   Amber t/s kit for custom aux
69235-04:   hc-hardware kit
73191-96 (8 of those): hc-receptacle, contact, 20-1
69200897: kit-wire harness, led hdlamp
68355-05: wire harness (2 of those)
68331-02: nest ring passing/pursuit lamp
68725-62A: (2 of those) ring, bezedl, lamp

Total of around $800 in parts + 380 labor.

Hope it helps

Looks nice. Which windscreen is that? I am thinking about ditching the windsplitter.

Regular road king windscreen. Fits perfectly. I used the one from my 2003 Road king classic.

Yeah, my dealer quoted me about $1000 to install.  Use '13 parts with a little rigging.... I'm gonna do it... but just put pipes and dyno... so gotta save for a bit first!  Looks AWESOME with the aux lights... disappointing they didn't include on the CVO... its kinds "part" of the Road King!

Really nice setups... I need to see what I do with mine.

For now I just have the Custom Dynamics  Turn Signals/Aux Lights LEDs

And also installing the caliper mounted lights that I had in my RGC CVO
