well all, I'm going to live. the week I got back from my last show in Ohio, my ticker gave us a thrill. had a bit of surgery and it went better than expected. slow to recover but I'm now at about 90%. got to ride this past weekend as winter has let loose of her grip here in Tennessee. I work as much as my wife will let me but of course i do push it.
best part about it was the drugs, worst part, no more drugs lol.
I stayed off the forum until now mainly because I didn't want any sympathy. Time to put on my big boy pants and move on. the Doc says I can have one bourbon a day so all is well.
Sympathy, from this board??? Surely you jest!
Seriously though - glad to hear you are feeling better and that the surgery is in your rear view mirror! We don't think that much about our health until it is impaired in some way. I have been blessed with good health for 54 years now, even though I do little upkeep. I do know that every day is a gift and try to appreciate the little things I will get to see and do today.
Riding weather is still a few weeks off here. I have seen a few bikes out over the last few days but the Beast won't see the road until most of the winters deposit of road salt is washed away. On some roads, you see a nice white berm of deicing material lining on the shoulders and down the lane lines. We need a gully washer or two to clean it away.
Enjoy your riding opportunities and recover quickly! Glad to see you are back online!
