I was never really thrilled with the stock tail lamp on my 2012 CVO Ultra. The standard H-D LED didn't do much for me either. New in the 2014 parts catalog is the Layback LED tail lamp. I thought I would give it a try. I bought the one in smoke. The next few pics are of the tail lamp installed. I think you will see enough angles to get a better idea how it looks than how the close-up photo(s) in the catalog.

The pictures are from my phone, so the pictures are not the best. The running light is bright, and braking is blinding. I hope this helps those who are thinking of upgrading to LED's.
I give it a big

looks good. does it have a strobe pattern in it. I put one on my 12 seuc from custom dynamics in june. it has 9 different pattern options. the lay back light, 4 led turn signals & the 2 different modules (1 load equalizer. 1 pattern mod) free install on fridays was $400. so only 100 miles away,I did a short road trip. I do like the smoke lens :2vrolijk_21:, even though I got the red.

Straight out of the box it does not have any strobe pattern. I wasn't thinking strobe with all the other lights I have around it. I just wanted to get rid of the incandescent lights and get the LEDs all around (I have DayMakers on the front).
Really, the nice part of this is it was truly a "plug n play" install: 2 screws, unplug harness, matchup the (3) wires on the new harness to fit the new connector in the same layout as the old, squeeze on the di-electric grease (included), plug in and screw the lens back on. It took less than 15 minutes to make a different look and a much brighter rear end.

Very nice addition...the angle of the lense adds to the entire look at the rear of your scooter. Ya done good... :2vrolijk_21:

yeh, the custom dynamics was plug & go. it was free install & I needed a day trip (excuse for one anyway). but you did good.like I said, really like the smoke. wish I had done it now

Any suggestions on the amber/smoke lens conversion to LEDs? I hear Custom Dynamics is the right company, but I want to keep the smoke lens yet have amber LED's. Do they have such an animal?
