Title: Dumb question??
Post by: moleng1 on June 14, 2012, 02:45:11 PM
I have had my Scarlet Red Pearl/Dark Crimson 2008 FXDSE2 for a few months now, and I've noticed on all other CVO models I've seen that they have a little engraved piece that says the number of the bike out of the number made (200/2150)

I can't seem to find anything like that on my bike, am I looking in the wrong places, or did these bike not come with these identifiers?

I think only the anniversary (Duracel) paint schemes are serial coded.

Correct for the Anniversary Editions.  HD does release numbered "limited" editions from time to time, like the Black/Crimson FLHTCUSE5 that were numbered.  Odd thing is, the other 3 colors that year that we not numbered were made in smaller quantities than the numbered color.
