The ONLY thing not to like is the stock seat. IMO

Enjoy your new bike it is THE right bike to own and a great looking color. I love mine.
Only complaint is that stock seat hurt my butt after about 100 miles.

Very clean looking machine. What year model is it? It looks as though it didn't get ridden much till you got hold of it.

The ONLY thing not to like is the stock seat. IMO

Of the 3 seats I have for mine the stock is my favorite. Not so with the 2006 we had, the best place for that seat was the rafters!

Congratulations on finding one of the classiest CVO bikes ever done! Rare too at 1/693 made. I had to see the Teal in person and in sunlight to
fully believe the beauty in the paint. Bought last July with 5k, it now has 18k with MANY more to come.

Congratulations!  I have 50,000 miles on mine.  I was on a trip to Colorado in June with 8 other Harleys including two 2012 Ultras and a 2010 CVO Ultra and a fellow came over to me to talk about my Jalapeno.  It definately has "curb appeal".  Enjoy.

Thanks for the compliments, and you guys are right about the seat. I rode it 1500 miles home . I took a bunch of ibuprofin the 2nd and 3rd day  ;D. I haven't rode it much since I got home, I'm going to remedy that tomorrow morning.

Nice ride!!  I've got a Cherry so excuse me if I think the red is ....well you know :)

A quick question - a friend is looking at a 2005 Heritage Softtail with 2500 miles.  Did you encounter any issues with so little mileage after 7 years?

Definitely did come with lower fairings.   You might be able to order a set.  Look into it quick,, they discontinue older painted parts often.

Not yet. Got my fingers crossed. Gotta get some tires soon, these are 8 years old. And a battery, it's been on a tender but I don't know if it's the original.

Did you get the color matched trunk?  If not then you probably bought a
bike that someone took the lowers and trunk and sold them before he sold the rest
of the bike to try to get a little more money out of it.

If you have the trunk then I would contact the previous owner to see if he still
has them and just "forgot"  to give the lowers to you. Good luck in getting them. :jalapeno:

good idea, although if he's already got them listed on eBay, I doubt he's going to come forward and agree. Kind of hard to 'forget' expensive parts like those.   :-\ spyder

I tried making contact with the former owner via the dealer and they are dragging their feet connecting us.

Someone sent me a link for lowers on Ebay. Stinks to have to buy something that comes with the bike! Oh well I still have a very nice bike for my first Harley! Thanks for your input guys.

If I lived in Florida I'd sell mine! But, living in Arkansas it does get pretty cool here in the winter and I like riding year round! I'd almost rather ride in the cold than the hot! Almost! I do enjoy getting all leathered up and riding in the cold and the lowers do help the feet stay warmer!!  :pumpkin:

Yes you did Phil, thought I might get wet going south but split the two showers I was headed for! Hit some wet roads but no rain! If you saw me headed south I had been at a gathering at the Harley Shop for a friend that's in the local Hog Chapter. He lost his wife unexpectedly to a heart attack a few days ago. They had a memorial get together in her honer. I've know him since high school. Sad deal as always. He had a lot of support there tonight! Be looking for you on the road, Kenny

I have to agree with the comments above. To me, owning a CVO used to be (and should be) something special. An exclusive club within the HOG community. It seems these days Harley is pushing sales and not the exclusivity. We have some of the first ones and that is something not everyone can say. I'm proud to own a 2005. And did I mention it's pretty? and fast? and green? Bwaaahahaha!

I bought my bike from a guy in FL last month. He had 15 bikes that were all low mileage and loaded with accessories.  He told me later that one guy bought the rest of his "collection" to resale, probably to the overseas market. Well I found a couple of the CVO bikes on ebay this morning, checked with the seller and they are from Terry's collection.
So if anyone is looking for and Orange 2004 I saw this bike when I picked mine up, it was pristine. I debated on buying it instead of the teal one.

Point taken Wrongway. I called it teal until everyone else starting saying green so I just gave up and said ok, it's green. And I don't really understand the jalapeno thing either. Ever seen a teal jalapeno? I think people are either so mesmerized by the beauty of the teal that they can't comprehend the subtle color differences or they just see a blur go by and say "hey, was that thing green?".

To those who brought up concerns about an older  bike that had really low miles on it, i've got this one up to 5k now. The battery gave up(even though it had been kept on a tender), it was "only" 8 years old.  No other problems, knock on wood.  And I had to take off 4 damn chrome covers to change the tranny fluid, so I've got some slightly used misfitting chrome for sale. And the 8 year old back tire is getting pretty worn, but I think that's my fault. It's spooky hauling butt on 8 year old tires, gotta change them both soon.
