Title: CVO Production History
Post by: Black_Dog on December 02, 2007, 01:01:42 PM: Yesterday we had a Big-A$$ ice storm so I stayed home and went through CVO catalogs and collected the attached data, if any of you can provide the missing information we would be very thankful.

Also, some of the volumes you have listed are Harley's estimates of total production, not for the individual colors.

Thanks for doing. As we get more of the letters back on the actual production numbers, you file will be a nice one-stop-shop to look the data up in.

“Although the $16,995 MSRP makes it the most costly bike here -- and its limited-production status means you'll be lucky to pay the suggested price -- the look and cosmetic detail of Harley's FXR2 make it easy to justify the cost. It looks like a well-done custom. Two riders said the FXR2 was the most desirable of these bikes (though only one of them said they'd pay their own money for it) and ranked it first. Only one rider ranked it last. And as the last of Harley's still-valued FXR series, it will probably retain more value than any other bike here.”

Speaking of CA-only MSRP's, I have a sales brochure from 1999 for my FXR2 that states not only the $16,995 49-state price but also a MSRP of $17,260 for the CA model.

As far as accuracy goes, I see that they have mine right, anyway. You can go to any of these links and back up through the years and models. Hope this helps.

No, what's in the file that Black Dog has attached to the first post are the correct MSRP for those models. This is getting soooooo confusing! :huepfenlol2:
