2015 CVO SG questions.

1- What can be programmed on the favorites button and how is it done.  (Seemed to have misplaced my manual)

2- When an incoming call comes in through the Bluetooth on the dash, I answer it while stopped at a light, (not having any intercom cable) I hear the other party through my speakers, but they cannot hear me at all.  Is there no external mic to pick up my voice?

You can get the Boom infotainment manual online.  Here is a link:

http://www.harley-davidson.com/content/dam/h-d/documents/owners/infotainment/2016_Boom_OM_EN.pdf

You can have six favorites from the soft keys - three on each side of the screen.  And they can be a mix of AM-FM-WB-XM-Audio.  the FAV button on the dash let's you set one favorite.

As for the phone I think you have to have a headset with a mic.

I'm new to all this myself so please double check the manual but I think i am correct as I just read through all this a few days ago.

I found the manual.
It's not that helpful, honestly.  Are there any walk thru videos online perhaps?

I seem to remember that as well....no mic to pickup your audio---only in the headset

It would make sense as when you hit the voice command button, same thing. Nothing unless you have the adaptor plugged in to bike and helmet.

By the way, mine never came with one.  Anyone have a link to the correct part for me to purchase?

I have a Harley Boom premium headset that came with my new 2017 CVO Limited.  I already have J&M setups on my and my wife's helmets so I plan to sell this one.  PM me is you are interested and I'll shoot you the details (part number) along with a price.   :2vrolijk_21:

PM sent.

Where are the benefits of this as I only ride solo, and I normally wear a shorty helmet?

This is what he has for his Limited.    http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/boom%21-full-helmet-music---communications-headset
Will it work on the CVO SG?  Did a different version come on the CVO SG?

I will look to see if there is a part number on the headset that came with my bike later tonight.

The headsets that came with my CVO Limited (there were 2 headsets) are not in the 'retail' package and hence do not carry the same part number.  But they are the very same Boom headsets.

Harley does make one for the short half helmets but they all require the same communication cable and socket on the bike.  http://www.harley-davidson.com/store/boom%21-audio-premium-half-helmet-music---communications-headset

Thanks for the update Mike.  I think the one that ultrafxr posted just before you may be a good choice for a half helmet.  Also see it as cheap as $119.00
Might be worth a try.  With the way the ears piece fits, I bet I can still here the Boom Audio through the bike speakers too.

I think his would be better for 1/2 helmet also.....why do you think I never opened the one I have?? Other than I refuse to take calls while riding--that's why I went riding in the first place!!
