THROAT MICROPHONE
« on: February 24, 2008, 08:38:03 PM »

This is a great throat microphone; the only one that's made to work with Harley-Davidson's* bikes. You can talk without the wind noise and without connecting it to any helmet or holding the microphone in your hand. It is very comfortable on your neck and can be adjusted to fit your neck. You won't believe the quality and the sound. Talk on the CB to other bikes and listen to them on the speakers or with the earpiece that comes with it. The earpiece can be easily removed from the microphone's body.

Tested to 100 miles an hour winds and rain!

The same units are used by special forces!

Attaches against user's throat, picking up audio directly from vocal cord vibrations which blocks background noise perfectly

Have you used this before?

Will it work between driver and passenger?

It doesn't work in Helicopters...I would be skeptical...but willing to check it out.  I've seen many of these throughout the years that didn't work. However, with the advent of technology it could be working very well.

Before you drop your cash for this you better check it out in person. I did alot of investigating about throat mics and the answers I got from the engineers was that to hook up to a Harley it would cost about $600. This setup looks like one I amost bought on Ebay and was going to change the connector.

Decided against it after talking to engineers, (impedance? and other things have to match up to radio or damage can occur).
If anybody comes up with a good throat mic that works I think they would sell a bunch of them.
Just trying to help before you drop $100 on something that might screwup your radio.

Here's the link to the auction on Ebay.

looks like the same to me.
