I'd use caution with high wattage bulbs, after all the housing is plastic...  :nixweiss:

I have been running one for 2 years and have driven in everything from 14 to 105 degree weather and in all day rains.  No problems to date.  I did replaced my reflector with a Cibie H4 headlamps—7” round. All glass and the reflector in it is a lot better.

They must be sending the crap bulbs to Hawaii... I'm on #4 in less than 1 year... Thankfully I ride with the Hi beam on most of the time... so when the hi burns out I just switch to the low.

I think I figured out why yours are not lasting as long.  You get more riding time in there than I do. 8) 8)

I ran the 100/130 for years. Only trouble I had was the stock connector started to melt. Upgraded that and problem gone. Only other problem is your buddies wont want you behind them.  ;)
Oh and look for "ST" on any SilverStar bulbs you buy.

I was wondering what the best silver star bulb would be to install in my dual bulb headlight, it has a h-8 and a h-11, a 35 and a 55 wt bulb, thought about 2 55wts, or 55,65 or 2 65 wts, pulled the Xenolink system out cause I couldn't get the noise out of my radio after all the time I worked on it, rewired , checked all connections, and unmounted them and held them as far away from the bike as possible , and still motor noise, and just as soon as I would unplug the ballast it wold quit, so no more hid for me, looks like a good ebay item for me,

That sounds like a bad ballast or a ground problem. If its not grounded properly a ground loop is created and engine noise occurs. Try grounding directly to the chassis sometimes it requires going directly to the battery.

Not at all. Just make sure the OEM connection is nice and tite.
I'm not sure what the wire is but I'm sure its not smaller then 20 Ga. which is good to 11 amps.

I've been using the Silverstars on my Streetglide... They dont seem to last that long... I buy the standard Automotive H4/9003 versions.

I've tried Silverstar's in the ones that are supposed to be for motorcycles and they didn't last very long for me either so I went back to a Harley bulb.
