mount options for new Zumo 660
« on: May 01, 2009, 12:14:34 PM »

I'm a bit under the gun. I am receiving my Zumo 660 from a dealer (by the way, he told me he has 40 new ones in stock, $749 shipped) on Tuesday and I leave from Salt Lake to Hayward, CA for an appointment a week from today to have HD-Dude (Jim) install my AK-20 Traxxion front end kit and I'm going to have him wire my new Zumo in the back of the HD radio and install the kit that Henry (HML) put in his bike so I can accept telephone calls in my headset that is bluetoothed into the new Zumo 660.

So my question is, can you give me a mount option for the 660 on my handlebar so I can have it drop shipped directly to Jim? I want to put the Zumo to the left of my handlebar pretty much in front of the speaker on my fairing right above where the bend in the bar starts. Jim says he's quite certain that the new 660 uses the standard AMPF hole pattern. My bars are Wild 1 Chubbys so they are 1.25 inch diameter. Price is no factor. I want the best quality look and design. Here below is a picture of my handlebars. Thanks in advance.

Here is the mount many of us have used that is in the diameter for your handlebars.....

You can see pictures of this mount installed on some of our bikes starting here - Standard GPS or Garmin - implementation starting at reply #11.

Fired00d, that looks nice. Can it be swivelled to mount horizontal or vertical?

I can't say for sure as I've never tried to see all the angles it could be done, but you can check here - Handlebar Mount Info and see the adjustment points.
