Hawg wired vs. J & M 7.25 Speakers?????
« on: March 28, 2010, 05:45:43 PM »

Has anyone had the chance to compare the new J & M 7.25 speakers to the Hawg-Wired speakers?  I can't hear anything with my stock speakers at 70+ mph.  I already own a set of Hawg-Wired, but have not put them in yet because I want to put an amplifier in with the speakers.  Thanks for the help guys.

this the responce I got today re part of this issue:
They answered my email within an hour on a Sunday:  I just need to ride with the new wind shield and see if that helps at all.

J&M Hi-Performance 7.25" Fairing Speakers- current price? $219.95 SHIPPED! RETAIL: $279.95

LED Light Rings for J&M® Fairing Speakers 1998-2010 Harley® StreetGlide- price? $199.95 SHIPPED!  RETAIL: $249.95

HogTunes Tweeter pods stock black-price? $149.95 SHIPPED!! RETAIL: $189.95

Sales tax does NOT apply to your order since you do NOT live in California where we are based.

I can ship everything out to you tomorrow. I don't think you need the Hogtunes tweeter pod because the J&M speakers have two tweeters built in.  Save your money on the tweeter pod.  I would love to sell it to you, but we don't believe in selling stuff you don't need.

Thanks!

I have the HW speakers w/ amp, and the HW tweeters, they are great products with a very high quality workmanship appearance.  This system is heard loud and clear at ALL speeds!

Great article.  Thanks Trapper!  Installed a set last night in place of Polk Audio 5 1/4" marine speakers.  Already had the Titan amp (140 watts) with the HD head unit.  MUCH better!    :2vrolijk_21:   :2vrolijk_21:

So how does a 7.25 inch speaker fit in that little 5 inch circle?

There's an adapter cone that the speaker mounts on to reduce the differance.
