I've got one on my bike.  Can't find a link to the part though.  Chip (SBB) sent me info on the part when I did mine.  I'll drop him a PM asking to look in this thread in case he misses it.

Don, thanks for the pm.
Below is the swivel.
Please note it does not fit out of the box.
It has to be modified.
But the mod is no big deal.

Thanks Chip.  For some reason I was drawing a blank on the name it was marketed under and hadn't kept notes on the purchase.

The alteration Chip mentioned is obvious when you hold the new part against the existing parts.  It's also easy.  60 seconds at a bench grinder to shorten one edge for clearance.  The part goes between the fixed mount on the dash and the GPS mount so the GPS mount can gain the swivel.

Little bugger works like a champ too.  I remember finding them on eBay afte Chip pointed the part my way.  Price on eBay was less than price from Crutchfield.  Anyone with that fixed dash mount could really use one of these little mount adapters.

Just ordered one of these on eBay for $12.31 with free shipping... and even got a quarter back in PayPal bucks for future purchases... Can't beat that!

Sorry for sounding stupid but I can't see how this part would attach to the fairing mount or the 660?

How does it work?

Installation is simple.  Remove the GPS cradle from the dash mount, attach the swivel to dash mount and attach cradle to swivel.

Thanks for the link! Ordered 1 from Crutchfield, should help with viewing angle.   :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks for the info.  Much better viewing angle to my garmin 550,   plus I can now easily see the gas gauge.

Although this is a more elegant solution, I wonder how much closer to you the unit becomes?

I just got a few tiny SS washers that fit the 4 mounting screws. I put 2 on the lower left, and on each on the top left and lower right, inbetween the base mount and the cradle. It worked great for less than a buck and you can't barely see them.

Little bit more than an inch.

Yeah, that's what it looks like. I wonder if that's too close, and if that swivel moves when you hit bumps, etc?

I think I'm pretty happy where it is now.
