LED saddlebag reflector inserts

Someone on here had replaced their saddlebag reflectors with some that had led lights in them. I have been searching this forum for that topic and can't find it. I have also been searching the web for some led reflector inserts but can't find them either. Does anyone know who had posted that topic? I would like to find out where they got them from.

If memory is working correctly (it is Friday and been a long week) SBB (Chip) added these to one of his (blue) bikes. For the life of me I can't find the thread right now though.

Well I contacted California Custom. Which were the folks that made the illumalatch in the YouTube video above. Wouldn't you know it, they know longer make the illumalatch >:( Just my luck!!!

That is exactly the thread I remember seeing and I could not find it either. Hey Chip if you are listening where did you get your saddlebag latch lights from? And were they available in RED? I love the blue and that would look good with my Blue bike but I don't want any LEO trouble.

Thanks Firedood for finding that. The bad news is that in the thread he had a link to where he got them from and indeed he got them from California Custom who is no longer making them. I spoke with them on the phone and they said that they did not sell enough of them to justify making them :(

Hey T-Roy, I hunted just like you. Got the info from Chip and contacted C.C. and was put on the list for the next run, which, as we know never happened. Hunted everywhere, didn't want stickers. Finally painted my with a rattle can from lowes. The Rust-Oleum product number is #7251 Cobalt Blue Metallic.

I hear you Jimmy I am considering getting these inserts and then painting the grooved lines with the #7251 Cobalt Blue Metallic.

I know they wouldn't be color matched but H-D used to make LED lighted latches, I had a set on my 2006. If I couldn't find a set to match my bike I would consider contacting Custom Dynamics to see if they could make an LED light bar to fit a slot in a standard metal latch and have the slot cut to my design.....
