The last (I hope) of my replacement parts came in yesterday, so I have an appointment to drop the bike off next Tuesday morning, 3/2, and should get it back on Wednesday. I'm anxious to see how it looks with the smoked tail lights, I always thought the red looked out of place on my Black and Orange bike.

Yesterday was a really nice day in East TN, so out for a ride.  352 miles total.  Took a couple roads I had never been on.  Legget road west out of Sale Creek going up the mountain was great, then onto Pitts Gap road and then Pitts Gap Mountain road to lower east valley road into Pikeville on 30.  Then the rest were roads I have been on, 30 to Spence, 111 to Sparta, then 84 Kalf Killer road, to Monterey and 70 back to kingston.  Then to Smokey Mountain Harley and home.

Your are the example of what retirement should be, ride, ride and ride.  I am on a 60 hour gig up in Maryland until May and then back to home to Alabama for 40 hour weeks.  I will be up in your neck of the woods (Murphy, NC) to ride maybe a week in June, can't wait.

Thing is though, I don’t believe Dave is retired yet.

Technically I am not retired, out of work on Disability.

But your correct rode like that working, as 3 weeks at work and 3 weeks home to ride is a good rotation.

Busy yesterday, new Tags put on Fatboy and CVO Road Glide.  Oil change on the CVO King.  Then took the King for a 219 mile ride with a club brother.

Dave I did pretty much the same thing only the tags took several hours to unbolt all the license plates to put on the new stickers - never have dropped so many tiny washers and nuts.

Then we went for 150 mile ride and tried out a newer Brew Pub in Titusville.   PlayLinda Brewery (Brix) on US1 just south of highway 50.   The wife found a new beer like blue moon, but was better as she said you could taste the orange without adding it afterwords.  (Tropical Wonderland Ale).

Will do (or at least start on) the NSP (normal Spring maintenance) this weekend.  Oil changes on all three, pack wheel bearings on the FXR, inspect everything on all three, fasteners for tight, primary fluids, etc etc etc.  I might even get energetic and actually do the cam change on the old FXR that I never got done over the winter.  That would be make it a really excellent weekend if all that gets done.  We'll see.....

Three bikes of NSP maintenance is a nice way to spend a weekend.

Finally got to ride Orange Crush with the new bars. I did have to pull them back slightly from the original adjustment because I was having to reach a bit far when the forks were near lock. After the adjustment I can’t believe I waited this long to make the change. I thought the old bars were pretty good but the new ones are much more comfortable. Lesson learned.

Took the CVO King for a short 110 mile ride.  Got a few springs twice for about a mile each on my way home, didn't get wet just slightly damp.

Finally got to take the 2021 on its first 100 mile ride. Installed the XM module out of the 15 (Works flawlessly in the new GTS head unit). I really am liking the old school cable clutch. The friction zone is about 3/8" off the grip, right where I would expect it to be. Still waiting on the 131 kit to come in. Dealer says hopefully Wednesday when the parts arrive. Happy with my decision so far.

Definitely needs a regular crash bar and a set of lowers.

Changed the oil, trans, and primary. Replaced cracked primary shoe. Then figured, why not change the handlebar bushings. A lot more involved than I thought it was gonna be. I’ll put it back together tomorrow.
