Is there anything Screamin Eagle about a 114?

(1/1)

doubledoc:
I recently bought a 2017 CVO Limited with the 114.  I bought it from an insurance company wrecked, so I am rebuilding it, its the only way I could afford one, LOL.  I am putting Legend Air suspension on it and a ThunderMax ECM.  As for the engine, is there anything special about a CVO 114 engine other than the Screamin Eagle air cleaner or is it just  stock 114?  I'm trying to decide on whether or not I want to do anything to the engine or if there are already upgrades from the factory.  I don't want to duplicate any mods made from the factory.

Thanks in advance for everyone's assistance and advice!

Was just having this discussion with my riding buddy. We both moved to NC from FL, me in '18, he followed in '19. He actually moved 1 block from me! He first bought a '19 Road King Special, I then bought a '19 RG Special. We were saying how in FL, the roads are so flat and straight, all of or buddies build the hell out of their motors as the only thing to do there is ride fast, here in the mountains (I live 12 miles from the BRP) the 114 stage II has enough torque to leave it in 4th gear and pull like crazy through the twistys. I went from 2 prior 110 CVO's to the M8 114and the M8 is SUCH a better motor IMHO. Don't need to do more than an air cleaner and pipes.
