Title: Radio Question
Post by: cash338 on April 06, 2007, 12:51:51 PM
My radio is on the blink...Just bought one from ebay but it does not have but one connector on the back.  In the pics on this thread, I see one of them with 2 connectors.   I'm hoping that I can use this radio with my cd changer.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.   Thanks.   Scot :confused5:

I think I'll rephrase the question above.  Will any factory am/fm cassette work with the cd changer?   The new one looks the same but has a different part number.  Thanks    Scot

Do you have a SERG? If so you'll need a radio specifically from a SERG for the CD changer to function

Yes   A 2001 SERG.  I was hoping I could figure out how to make it work.  It has an extra pigtail coming out of the back of the unit at the small black plastic piece.

You need to send you original radio to Radio Sound to get it fixed or replaced. They are the factory repair center. The prices aren't too bad and you know you get a good working unit by someone who knows what they are doing.  You can find them on the NET. or in the back of your service manual. On the NET. they list their prices for repair.
Good luck.
