Quite a complicatewd question:

1.  I'm getting a 2009 Electra Glide Ultra Classic CVO early in the New Year and want the dealer to fit a Garmin Zumo.
2.  What diameter handlebars does it have and will the standard Garmin mount fit the bars?
3.  What is the best available mount for the Garmin Zumo, that looks the part on the bike?
3.  I'd like to link the Garmin and the Harley Comms system into my Autcom Super Pro Avi  (I use this to communicate with my wife who rides another bike) - anybody done this?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

3. Not going to say this is the best, but it sure is better looking then the stock Zumo mount - Techmount 30997MC (these are for the stock handlebars (1") if you've changed yours you'll need to get one that corresponds to the diameter of your bars).

Not a big fan of the Techmount.  I bought the new handelbar mount from HD and had it chromed.

Have you looked at the mounts from Powerlet?

http://www.powerletproducts.com/product/PBK-105/72

Comes in Chrome.

Also go over to www.zumoforums.com, if you haven't already. A lot of good information.

IMHO Techmount is the best option (best looking) and lots of versatility.

I ran the power cable down the the back side of the handlebar (where you could not see it easily) and connected power to the power outlet under the bat wing (hard wired)

works great

Good luck on the bluetooth connection with com. I have yet to see one that worked well enough that I would invest in Com module.

I can agree with both of those statements.
The Techmount is the best I've seen so far. Unless:

As far as bike to bike communication, I would recommend using the CB radio that is already on the SEUC⁴. It's always reliable, needs no additional wiring, and is already paid for.

I don't think there is currently a bluetooth module available from Harley.

Okay, to clear it up for Jon...
What Bungy & I are talking about is the Bluetooth Module that HD had as an add-on. It would allow you to pair a cell phone to the Harmon Kardon radio. It is now obsolete from HD. At this time, a Bluetooth enabled device can only pair to one device. So, if your Garmin pairs to your cell phone there is no way to also pair it to a two way radio for communications with another bike. You are going to be hard pressed to find a system that will allow you to have all three (Zumo, Cell phone, & 2 way radio).

What I've currently got is an Autocom super pro avi with a Kenwood TK3210 T2 radio for bike to bike comms, this allows me to talk to my wife on another bike. I power this from switched supply on the bike and carry the gear in a bumbag.

I think I can link a Garmin Zumo to the Autocom unit with Autocoms own bluetooth widget and have my mobile connected to the Autocom (somehow).

What I'd like to do is link in the Harley's onboard system (music, passenger comms)  into the Autocom so that I have all the benefits of bike to bike, but can still use the Harley system.

Also I don't want to have separate helmets for when I want to use the Harley's system as the Autocom headsets are fixed in my existing helmets (Shoei X-Spirit and Schuberth C2).

Clear as mud?

Jon, that is the problem. You are trying to use one wireless system (Kenwood) with the hard wired HD system. Unless you're willing to have for speakers in your helmet I don't see a way of doing it. Sorry.
