Could some of you post some pics with the tech mount?  I agree with you guys about the permanent mount, but unfortunately I had mine mounted on the fairing when I took delivery.  Now, if I change to the Zumo for example, I will have to figure what to do with the holes in my fairing, and then replace my dash pad which I had modified.  I guess you live and learn [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Here's a pic of the mount, but at this time I had a different GPS unit on the mount.

Does anyone know if the Tech Mount will work with the HD Quest (Garmin)?  I want to change mine from fairing mount to handlebar mount and thought it sounded like the Tech Mount might work. Any part numbers/pics would be helpful.  Thanks

I'll admit that I haven't read every post in this thread so this one may have been mentioned already.

Thanks to Porthole's (a member of this site) suggestion, here's a link to the mount that I use.....
http://estore.websitepros.com/817592/Detail.bok?no=46    Several members of this site have asked me where I got it so it's definately caught the eye of several here.

There's also several other threads in here regarding mounts, too, if you do a search.

I got the Techmount installed this week. I'm taking the Velcro off and using Garmin's double sided sticky pad. I'm worried that the Velcro will not hold at speed.

You do realize the Garmin cradle will screw directly to the Techmount base, right?

The mount for the 30997 did not have AMPS holes in it. I'm going to look & see if they are intrerchangable.
