break light
« on: December 23, 2014, 02:40:35 PM »

on a 2015 rug the brake light bar should light up the whole way across when you apply the brakes. I  put the light bars on the saddle bags and it worked fine.  But today i noticed the turn signals in the tour pak and the saddle bags will not get brighter when i apply the brakes.  Its a plug and play so not that difficult .. wonder could a fuse or something be blown.   the running lights and turn signals work on both

Sounds like the Module that comes with the saddle bag light kit might be defective. I have the same set up on mine and one of my saddle bag lights quit. They are a MutherDucker to get off the bags.

unplug the module and reconnect and test tourpak lights again. If they work correctly you will know it's the light module. Mine were on for about 2 months before the left light quit.

just disconnected the saddle bag lights and nope the turn signal part of the tour pack will not light up when you hit the brakes.  The whole thing does light up right?

I was thinking just the center light.... let me go check real quick....

On mine, just the center portion lights up with the brake.

was at the dealer yesterday and applied brake to a ultra  and the whole bar lit up.   Huh .  But anyway the saddle bag lights should work with the brake also so I'm not sure what is going on.

Did you use the module and harness specific to the CVO, or the one in the kit?  The kit listed in the online catalog has a note under "fitment" that the kit does not work with the CVO Limited or CVO Road Glide.  I read another thread around here that mentioned a different module and harness part number that is for the CVO's, Wire Harness W/Module-Firmware 69200949.  I have no idea if this could be related to your problem, just thought I'd mention it.  :nixweiss:

On mine only the center of the tourpak lights up on brake also. GRC is correct the kit for a Regular ultra won't work on a CVO limited. My dealer gave me the kit for a Ultra limited the first time and the saddle bag lights wouldn't brighten on brake. The lights are the same but the module is different. They got me a different light kit for the CVO limited and all I did was swap the modules. Hopefully that's your issue. I miss understood your problem the first time I read your post.
