I THINK I LIKE THE GARMIN NUVI BEST

iT SEEMS TO ME THAT THE nuvi 350 OR 360 IS A NICER BETTER SYS THAN THE zUMO.  cOMMENTS PLEASE

One big, HUGE problem...neither of those units have a water resistant/waterproof case.  That would eliminate use on a bike, IMO.

The unit being waterproof and having XM Radio capability built into the GPS were big sellers to me.  I just got my Zumo on Thursday and so far, have been pleased.

Yes, the water thing...  But other than that?  It seems to have a few very nice features, but the ZUMO?  Does it really compare to the No Water NUVI? Not.  JMHO

Not trying to be contentious here, just stating facts.  A non-waterproof GPS on a motorcycle is/would be useless...might as well have a boat anchor clamped to your handlebar.  For a car...fine.  The last thing I would want is to be off in BFE somewhere and have my GPS go out because I ran through a rain storm or was in the midst of one in totally unfamiliar territory.  My personal opinion is that a Zumo, 2820 (for today's models), or the 27XX series, depending on what features one needs, is the best route to go in the Garmin lineup.

In application a non waterproofed GPS unit for a motorcycle has only slightly greater utility than does a condom that begins melting at just under 98 degrees Fahrenheit.

When I talked with a Garmin Rep. about the Nuvi 350 he said it was as waterproof as a sponge! So I got the 2730.  If they had mentioned the Zumo I would have waited and bought it...but the 2730 is nice. But the Zumo will hold way more MP3 music and I heard that it might be able to have live weather radar loop. I have weather on my 2730 but it just show current conditions.

IMHO....The zumo looks cool but it wasn't out when I was looking for a gps. The nuvi seems a little more compact. 
       I have been using the nuvi 350 now for over one yr. I really like it. Used it on the road last yr for two wks straight in Canada. When it rained I put a little zip lock baggy over it. worked perfectly. It's nice and small with a big screen. I can use all the on screen buttons with my gloves on. My only complaint so far is it does not store routes.  This has not become a problem though. What I have done is mapped my route using the software on my pc. I may have to add a few xtra waypoints to make a route. I then xfer my waypoints to the nuvi and just hit the goto button eachtime so that I am able to stay on the route that I have pre chosen.  No too much trouble at all.  Ram mounts makes a nice handlebar mount and it even looks pretty good.  Hope this helps.
