Insane!  Right?

After a fun time in Burntcoat, it was time to burn rubber.  Staying on the back roads, we traveled through Windsor, Wolfville, Kentville, Middleton, Annapolis Royal and a host of other towns.

Ultimately I ended up in Digby, Nova Scotia where I had an excellent room full of many amenities and a nice view of the bay.

The evening meal was excellent at the Fundy Restaurant with Lobster being served.  Just not these!

Topped off with…a slice of YUM!

Day Thirteen | Digby, Nova Scotia - Brier Island, Nova Scotia | 150 miles

Today I would be leaving Digby for the day but returning this evening.

This journey would require me to take two ferries to get there.

Along the way there was plenty to take in as always…

[Jock]

Including the Boar’s Head Light…

[Jock]

Boar’s Head Lighthouse sits atop the headland at the northeast end of Long Island where it marks the entrance to Petit Passage.

[Jock]

This one has a functioning fog horn and it is LOUD!

[Jock]

It went off approximately every five minutes…

[Jock]

Brier Island has a shoreline of approximately 16 miles long and has less than 100 private dwellings occupied around.

As you arrive from the ferry you are greeted with a friendly little town…

[Jock]

This is obviously a fishing town and they even raise salmon out in the Bay of Fundy.
