You never know...but Maggie Valley is in the sights!  You need to come back to the East Coast and this could be the reason!

However Washington D.C. is on the schedule for next week but that is business.

Yep, that almost happened.  Got the bike, flight, lodging all figured out and I put in for that week of vacation just to learn that one of my techs already had that week scheduled (only one maint. associate on vacation at a time).  Tried talking to him about rescheduling his but it was a no go.  :(

That sucks.
Maybe next time.

I also talked to the other guy.
He's got a little kiddie pool giving him fits so it's a no go for him either.

I have to say having our own Photo-Journalist along to document this trip will help keep the memories alive for a lifetime. :jalapeno: :jalapeno: :jalapeno:

But seriously Neal & I have shared quite a few roads over the years with Jock all over this great country of ours and it was an honor to share the sights with him on another adventure.

Looking forward to the next time!!! :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks for all the pictures. It's like I was there--except wasn't ---but will be someday. Love the looks of the area and of course the Lobstah!!  Great trip and lots of memories.  Waiting for the next one.

Gotta get back in time indeed!  Back to the Future!  2014!  A Magical Mystery Tour with the Neal, Sue, Steve and Jill!  Except in this case no DeLorean just a few CVO scooters, a few 88 mph clicks and Doc Brown was not on duty so I will have to do.

Our journey back in 2014 was a wonderful experience and I have thought of returning to this area for several years.  One thing or another seemed to stand in the way but this year appeared to be a go.

Come along and join me as we go Back to the Future on A Magical Mystery Tour Remastered!

Roll up roll up for the Mystery Tour
Roll up roll up for the Mystery Tour

Roll up
That's an invitation
Roll up for the Mystery Tour

Roll up
To make a reservation
Roll up for the Mystery Tour

The Magical Mystery Tour
Is waiting to take you away
Waiting to take you away

That is exactly what I plan to do…Roll up!  Roll up the highway so I can spend more time at my destination.

Day One | Savannah, GA – Richmond, VA | 500 miles

Today would be a late start up time with a few stops along the way.  The route was pretty much the “big road’, as Hubbard would say and the views had been seen plenty of times in the past.

It would be here that I would meet up with part of the road krewe.  This krewe would assist in the taking many of the images you will see in this posting.  Thanks guys!

It would not be a trip on I-95 without the stop at South of the Border!   :jalapeno:

Day Two | Richmond, VA – Stratfort, CT | 450 miles

This is the part I hate!

•   Road Conditions
•   Heavy Traffic
•   Tolls
•   Stop / Start

I tried to get the krewe out early however that would not be the case.  After standing still for the better part of two hours it would be a late midnight check-in.

That’s fine, it least we were past the bad stuff right?

Once past Massachusetts, it was time to hit US Highway 1.  This was a route that Neil had taken us down and I remembered much of this journey.

•   Seabrook
•   Hampton
•   Portsmouth
•   Kittery
•   Bald Head

Even had to stop at the Candy Store we took in last time.  Yum!

You gotta love New Hampshire and their position on liquor!  And yes, this is an interstate sign advertising the product, low taxes and big inventories!  Nuttin’ like promoting the idea of drinkin’ and drivin’!   ;)   :)
