Danny Gray Seat
« on: December 30, 2009, 10:26:00 AM »

Yesterday I received my two new Danny Gray Seats. One is a Butt Crack Solo p/n 0802-0411. It fit good. I have to push the back just a little to install the rear placement screw. The other is a weekday two up seat p/n 0802=0359. It fit however the front tong was not long enough to fit into the front square insert. I called Danny Gray and spoke to Sherry. I told her my situation. They are now making a seat to fit my Bike correctly. Both these seats fit the Bike so much better than the stock seat. The reason for this problem is the center console is diffrent than the stock console. As soon as I can I will take some photos and post. If you are Intrested please call and talk to Sherry at Danny Gray. They have been more than willing to help.

Call American Classic Motors. I ordered mine with them. I spoke to Joe in parts. The p/n is 0802-0411 and I paid 237.90 and that included tax and shipping. I have not gotten to ride yet due to the weather (rain) but it sits nice and feels comfortable. It really looks good and shows the rear finder well. Good Luck.

I am working in Saudi Arabia right now. I go home in Feb. and will take the pic's. I did get to ride it once before I left. It felt good. It was a short ride due to the weather.

I have a 2007 FXSTSSE. As soon as I get Home I will get some Pictures. Like I said before I am out of the Country right now. I got the Seats in two days before I left. If anybody calls Danny Gray ask for Sherry. She knows about the difference in the FXSTSSE seats.

I just called and spoke with Sherry and she told me that Danny Gray does NOT have any seats that fit a 2009 Springer CVO.    How did you get the solo seat to fit?    Do you have a 2009?    Can you post a couple if pictures?

Thanks,

Chris

OK, thanks.    So apparently there is still no aftermarket seat for the 2009 Springer CVO.    That sucks.

Yes it always takes a while for the aftermarket guys to make new products!

I just received the seat. I did take a short ride with it. It does not move me forward like I have heard other seats do. I will give an update after I put some more miles on.

Here is a Picture of My Bike With the Butt Crack Solo Seat. I have been riding using both seats. The two up is really comfortable. The Solo feels good but not as good as the two up. Remember to ask for Sherry when you contact Danny Gray. She and I have been in contact and she will help you get your seat.

Looks like there is an option for those of us with 09 models. I recently recieved an email from Christine Le Pera stating the following: 'Unfortunatley none of our seats will fit your bike… I am sorry".

Today though, I received an email as a result of this post,  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=56153.0

So i have attached a sample of some pics that were sent to me. I'm sure the vendor will do the same for any one else.
Good luck, Dave.

These Seat Company's need to realize that there is a market here for the CVO People. If Harley will not meet our need then someone will step up to the plate. Hopefully over time they will be more adaptable for the CVO People.........It is hard for me to understand why Harley does so little for the CVO in Seats, and the little extras.
