2010 SESG exhaust-what works for you?
« on: August 12, 2010, 01:05:31 PM »

Forgive me if this has already been asked...looking to add a little volume to the stock exhaust.
What systems have ya'll found that works in your opinion for some added volume/rumble?
I saw the one post regarding the Reinhart 4", just curious about others

Thanks for listenin!

if you don't want to spend a lot of money,  but want something that sounds great,  go to ebay and search: harley max mufflers

got them on my 07 serk, sound great.  buddy of mine just put them on his 10 tequila sunrise.

SORRY, JUST CHECKED EBAY,, HE DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING LISTED RIGHT NOW.

I'd say a majority of the SESG owners have gone with the Fullsac baffles.  You can do a search on Fullsac on this forum.

If All you want is a little volume, just drill out the Cat & put the stock mufflers right back on.
You will get a little bit more of a rumble.

Klock Werks Super Saver Shorts. Nice deep rumble at idle. Plenty of bark accelerating. Low rumble at cruising speed and can still hear the stereo. Rolled ends and back slant look great with the drop bags.

If you are startin' from scratch, you cannot beat the Fullsac deals where you can have it all in one.  You can get a TTS tuner that is already set up for your pipe selection.
To be fair Kuryakyn has a similar set-up.
Pipes, tuner pre-programed, air cleaner all in one is hard to beat.  Fullsac has 1.75 to 2.25, mild to wild.
The beauty is somebody elses bike took the beating on the dyno vs. your bike.  Granted you may be 1-2hp from absolute maximum but do you really care?
I have the 1.75 and love the fact they are not obnoxious loud but sound good.
Good Luck!

D&D 2 into 1 fatscats with a ghost pipe. Unique sound especially when you come off the throttle  Might be loud for some, but I love 'em.

Everyone has their opinion but for me...'09 catless header, V&H Hi-Outputs, and HD SERT.  97 hp, 114 peak torque on the dyno.  Perhaps not the cheapest way to go but performs, looks and sounds great to me and others who have seen/heard my bike.

Running Stock head pipes with cat removed by Fulsac, Fulsac 1 3/4" Baffles in stock muffler, XIED plug in. Better sound, throttle response, power increase and cooler temps.

Stock 09 headpipe, fullsac 1 3/4 baffles, excellent results for a couple hundred bucks.
