Other than Otis anyone else tried this new treat to allow their passing lamps to stay on with their high beams ?

Any feedback on it any issues ?

Haven't used the Kuryakyn part Harry.  Just checked their install PDF and have homemade little harnesses to do the same thing connecting to the same places several times.  It's a simple little harness.  Check the PDF and grab your wire crimper and some terminals.  Nothing you need to wait for parts for if you don't wish to.

Harley has actually had a similar harness in the P&A catalog for awhile now:
---------------------------------------------------
Independent Control Auxiliary Lamp Wire Harness Kit

Maximize your nighttime view down a lonely stretch of back road. This simple to install wiring harness permits independent control of your bikes auxiliary lamps, and allows the lamps to be switched on when the headlamp is in either low or high beam settings.

 69200441

Fits '98-later Electra Glide®, Street Glide® and Trike models equipped with auxiliary lamps.

MSRP US $29.95

---------------------------------------------------
Anyone with some basic wiring skill and a soldering iron (I personally prefer soldered connections rather than crimp) can easily do the same thing at nearly zero cost.  The little harnesses work out fine for those who prefer a simple plug and play approach.

Did the mod myself from a thread on here years ago. Very easy to do. I'm not very proficient at soldering anything but plumbing so I used the terminal connectors that radio shack sells. After you crimp them, heat gun or lighter, and the insulation on the terminal is shrink wrap material that spooges a little sealant out the end to make an airtight seal. Under $5 for the whole project.

The Kuryakyn is about $10.00 less expensive.

Thanks for the link Jerry, hadn't seen that Harley part before.

I modded my 07 bike, but the wires always seem to get hot figured this was probably a better option.

I have the hd on my 04.   Don't know why but the passing lights stay on when the ignition switch is acc position   It works fine though.

The power for the passing lamps comes off the HiBeam Switch, which is how it turns them off when on hibeam.

Simply made new power supply off the harness with 15 amp fuse behind the passing lamp switch in the nacelle. Much easier to change a fuse than having to remove headlamp to get to the fuse.

Amen to that Dennis.  I refuse to put inline fuses or fused links inside a fairing or inside a nacelle.  If something is too big to tap the already fused accy line already in there it will instead get a run from the fuse panel using one of the empty spots there for a new fuse.  It's just too easy having them all in one spot at the fuse panel.
