When I added a king tour pack to my bike, I never liked the open space beneath the passenger backrest where the speaker pods are located. Decided to pick up a pair of speaker pods, have them recovered to match the Corbin backrest pad and install. While I do not have any intention of putting speakers in these pods, the option exists as well as the possibility of using these to store "nick nacks" if some clever person on this site comes up with a speaker shaped glove box door (pj57 are you reading this?)!
Since I also have the George Anderson tour pack relocator, I wanted to fill in the gap between the tour pack and passenger pillion. My tour pack is moved back 2.5"' so I designed a pad shape that would fill in the space and also act as a lower lumbar support for my BSR and had it covered in the same material as the backrest and pods. Came out real nice and my wife says it's perfect for her lower back support.

Pete, looks good! I always thought the area where the pods go looked bare on my SEEG, too. Seen too many Ultras, I guess. :nixweiss:

Pete,
You may want to look at the "doors" for lowers. You can get the soft covers and/or locking covers from HD and all you would have to do is cut the openings in the speaker pods. HD also makes an "interior" liner that may work for you.

WOW! What a great idea :2vrolijk_21: I have also struggled with what to put in this space if (or when) I get my TP. Did you order these from the MOCO without the speakers?

I bought the pods from a site member. Didn't care about speakers, wiring or the stock covers since I was having them recovered anyway. You can only buy complete pods with speakers, etc from HD. I have a friend in the custom upholstery business and he recovered with vinyl that is an exact match to my Corbin backrest.

Chris,
The HD doors won't work, they aren't round like the speakers.

Pete, where do you think he bought the pods? Did you have to drill your own holes to attach them to the TP?

I bought the pods and provided to him. If you are interested in a pair, go to buying section on this site and post, you might get lucky someone on here has a pair they would be willing to sell.
Yes, I had to drill the holes. I have the HD templates for drilling the holes and you are welcome to them if you need them.

we decided to go a similar way:
(http://www.abtmeyer-fricke.de/public/pics/neuer Sitz.jpg)
but as we live in the dark (and sometimes quite cold) side of Germany we decided to add a heating too and the stock flap got enlarged a bit to prevent cold air streaming through the gap between seat and tourpack and around Madames kidneys - she appreciates this ever since ;)
