That what we are thinking daughter has bottle feed it most of the day and made it a bed with hopes it will live and go back to the wild its only a few days old

We see a lot of that here. Poachers, hunters, automobile hits or even death from birthing often leave defenseless fawns. We don't usually see them that young abandoned though. Try not to get your scent on it by petting, because sometimes other moms will adopt motherless fawns. If it's still around long enough to go to solid food, you can get 50 lb bags of whole corn for about $7 -$8 bucks. Every year after hunting season we have to corn feed fawn that lost their moms. We had four motherless fawns this past winter, that was the worst year so far.

Get in touch with the local zoo if one is near, or you have a new pet. Once you touch a fawn, most other does will not accept them. That one has more white in it than most fawns do. Is it a doe or buck?
You can raise it and let it go into the wild after the first year. If it is a buck with that much white, hunters will be after it and there is not much you can do about that, cept install a 12' fence to keep him in.
Have raised a few in my short lifetime, disheartening when they don't return the next year after returning for a few years

He's wild no exotic leases around here this is called a Piebald when they have white or they are solid white Get in touch with the local zoo if one is near, or you have a new pet. No zoo close by have been in contact with local Game Warden and ask about a Permit to raise it till it can make it in the wild he think's he can issue a permit to do that we will see how that works.Its a Buck yes you are right about hunters being after it we have alot of trouble here with road hunters also so for now he is being taken care of and we will see how thing's go

My sister had the same thing happen to her this year, fawn in an out building. Called the local wildlife office and was advised to leave it alone and the mother would return at the end of the day. That's exactly what happened. Apparently the does burn a lot of energy . in the birthing process. Finds what seems to be a safe place for the fawn and then goes off to eat for the day. Happens all the time this time of the year, they said

your daughter has already claimed it. I am raising sqiurrels right now. No way my daughter is giving them up. You will have a ball with it. It will become so dependent on you (makes deer season harder, guessing you hunt).
