Vibration
« on: October 08, 2007, 03:09:59 PM »

How much does your bike vibrate? Mine at about 3000 rpms the rear foot pegs vibrate a lot. The front one very little. I noticed this yesterday when I put my feet on the backs one to stretch my legs. Any one else notice this.

Mine didn't vibrate at all until 7500 miles. Then was a lot worse on right side. Don't know if it was tied to leaking head gasket or ACR.

Hope to get bike back this week. Has been down for 5 weeks. The primary side is all that will be from old motor. Hope to be rid of 110 problems.

Very little vibration but I actually never put my feet on the passenger boards.

The bike runs quiet and smooth, knock on wood.

I have a 07 dyna and the mirrors vibrate allot until I get over 3300 rpm.

Have any of you had a problem with high temperatures. I have installed Vance & Hines big radius, mapped it according to the chart (0987) It pops allot.

I've read several reports about the mirrors...I think some have gotten new mirrors after taking the bike in to the dealer and telling them it's unsafe to ride because of the mirrors buzzing.  A solid stem mirror has solved the problem, if I'm not mistaken.

On the popping...are you using a V&H Fueler?  IMO, you will be much happier with a PCIII or SERT and getting the bike dynotuned by a competent tuner.

On my 08 the mirrors seem fine. I just put on slash cut pythons and a SERT. The temp is now noticeably cooler. Runs great and has not poped yet.

Lenny,
I have an 06 Street Bob that vibrates alots, I know it isn't a CVO, but
I feel your pain with the vibes.  It is only at a certain RPM and I want to say it
is around 2500 or so. Other RPMs are fine...Hmmm, who knows.

Stay around 3000 rpm's and it subsides

My 07 fxdse mirrors are fine at that rpm. the whole thing wabbles at a 100 mph or more though

Y'alls Dynas dont shake? Heck my 110 rattles around pretty good. I mean not terrible, but it sits at idle and shakes around like what would be expected of a higher performance scoot. It smooths out good at speed, but initial start, and idle, she shakes men. Thats the way it is. And all the mirror talk, kinda old school now, go to dealer, whine about safety, get new ones. I think they are using Buckshots(?) or something like that. Havent done it yet, and yeah, the mirrors are useless.
