Found this pic from when I was riding the dragon .... any body ever have this when you was riding the dragon ....  :nixweiss:

Fred, that's the before picture....where's the after one?

That's the numero uno problem with 129...big trucks are NOT restricted (big, long campers either).  That doesn't alleviate the issues with the motorcycle in the wrong lane, however...

And to answer your question, no, thank the good Lord

That's the problem with the Dragon. Last trip one guy wanted to do the Dragon but a few of us decided to take the roads to the west side and around. 3 times on the Dragon is enough for me! There are some great twisty roads with less traffic to roll on down that way.
The Ceramic blanket on my baffles and tightening the rear header pipe made a huge difference with decell pop and the hollow sound I was getting. I think I gained a bit of low end torque as well.
We have a nice 4 day trip with friends planned for late next week after we all meet in the Roanoke area. Not much in the way of Fall colors up in here Merry land this year! Gotta love riding this time of year! Brings back memories of riding 2 strokes in the woods as a kid.
Keep um between the ditches!

Again, NOT on my CVO but I did add a couple of shiny bits along with one useful item to the Chieftain this past weekend.

New shiny, much better looking mirrors

...and new floorboard inserts and crash bar closeouts.  I've got the matching passenger floorboard inserts ordered.

The closeouts are an addition I need for the cool/cold riding and they work great.  They are actually stiff with a slight curve built in (I'm guessing fiberglass/plastic insert for the stiffness).  Much nicer (in my opinion) than the fiberglass/plastic lowers on the Roadmaster.  Those still look like something from a mid 80's Kawasaki brochure.  These work as well or better and are much easier to remove/install.

OK, enough about this other brand, back to the regular, scheduled CVO discussions... ;D

Sad day today. Signed the title over to the insurance company this morning. After my Maggie Valley accident last month, the bike was totaled. I know there is a lot of talk about sumping of the M8 bikes, but I had one of the good motors. I had put just under 45,000 miles in the 2 1/2 years I had owned it and no motor issues at all!

Rode my yesterday to DR appointment.  Then over to boat dealer to set up the return of the wrong axle they sent and get the right one sent.  Then over to SMHD to sit and have a cigar and beer with a friend.  All said 174 miles yesterday.

Riding to Hot Springs NC for lunch today with some friends.

Not 100% sure yet. Had hand surgery last week. So it will probably be about 3 months before I'm released to ride. Also back is still an issue, couldn't ride if I wanted to. So I have some time to look at my options. Maybe find a good used garage queen, if not probably new 2020 CVO Limited.

The 2020 CVO Limiteds are pretty sweet. Though I am biased.  :)
