You can get magnetic torx drivers at most any parts store or hardware store - but - I don't use the Torx fasteners.  I install a threaded stud (with locktite), and then use a nut w/magnetic socket...   :2vrolijk_21:

Whoa, I could see this thread doing downhill real fast...HA!   :jester:

Sadunbar: Excellent idea!  Do you have the specifications on the threaded bolt?

1/4-20 x 1.25 set screws with a dab of red locktite will work fine...

JB weld.  Or a real good epoxy. It's a common problem on these bikes. Don't over tighten when you are putting it back together.  :(

I had my fairing off, so I did this last night before reinstalling it. Definitely makes it easier to install. My only concern is making sure not to scratch the paint with the studs sticking out. Now you can start the lower bolts by hand though.

Get a RoadKing ??? Thats like backin up .. LOL
I have the studs on mine and found it easier to just start the center windshield bolt to support while aligning the studs and other small t27 bolts.. JMHO..
