You might try a product called "Pig Spit".  It is sold at our local HD.  It does a great job of making the silver on the engine look new.  Not sure if it will take the stain off, but it's worth a try.  Even if it doesn't, use this product after the stain is gone, and it will keep it looking new and help keep it from getting more stains.  i used it on the area between the engine and tranny, which has some oil residue, and it cleaned it right up.  Good luck. I agree with hogheritage04, I have used Pig Spit for several years it works great on the black on the motor and lasts longer than you would think.

I'll have to look into Pit Spit.....never heard of it.  I've always used WD-40 to remove the stain between the engine and transmission on these silver powdercoat engines.  Works real good.
