I would like to put 6" risers on my 2014 CVO Deluxe to bring the handlebars back for riding comfort, but I've been informed by the dealership the exercise would be way too expensive.
I would need to purchase all new braided lines (understandable) and they suggested changing all of the wiring to the speedometer may not be possible.
I appreciate it wouldn't be an easy job, but can anyone shed any light on the installation of risers?
Thanks in advance.

I've just found this….is there a chance these can be bolted on without the need to change the lines?
R S D 1" Handlebar Risers

Laser-engraved RSD logo on top riser cap
Available in Black Anodized or Chromed finish
Drilled and tapped for ½ “-13 mounting bolt (not included)

I got onto the Roland Sands 'live chat' section to ask the question on the risers.

I was told by Jake there should be enough spare line for a 3" riser but it would be 'tight fit'.
He didn't sound very convincing and it sounds risky…any other info would be appreciated

There are extension kits for the wiring, so you don't have to change. One of the companies is called Namz: http://www.namzcustomcycleproducts.com/products%20WIRE%20EXTENSIONS.html (http://www.namzcustomcycleproducts.com/products%20WIRE%20EXTENSIONS.html)

Was informed by the dealer here in the UK that because the clock is mounted into the lower part of the riser its not possible? they have said to use the riser from the Breakout as it has the same problem but it is a pullback riser!
but could be costly
cheers
if you have any ideas please let me know as I also wish to change the risers

Any one had any thoughts on this or any luck converting?

Doesn't the CVO Breakout use the same instrumentation as the CVO Deluxe with taller risers with more pullback?

hi,
yes but I`m unable to get a confirmation that they will work because of the clearance of the instrumentation and the tank!
thank you for the reply though.

So we really need to just use the risers as the top will be reused correct?
-
yes, only using the lower riser.

If I pull the trigger on 2" risers would any other parts be needed?
