I should have asked for 2005 as well, but in my short-sightedness, did not. Maybe someone with an '05 can send a letter to H-D to find this information out for the other year. I think it only took about 3 weeks at the most to get a reply. If you want the letter I sent as a reference, I can post that, too. I did include my VIN numbers in the letter to add legitimacy to the request, which, of course, I would not have been able to do for an '05.
'06 SEUC owners will recognize the name of the Customer Service Rep. who responded from their dealings with the MoCo on paint issues. Note that the second color referenced is an '05 color combo. I am sure he meant "Orange Pearl / Jet Black" instead of "Yellow Pearl / Platinum Mist."

Thanks for that info Brian. Makes waiting the nine months for my :pumpkin: worth it now knowing there are less of them then the B/B.

BTW - That's only 104 over the projected 2750 they said would be produced. :-\

Still a rare model in either color compared to the CVOs that they're making now.
Thanks Brian for posting that.
-
Good poop there Brian. Thanks.
-
thanks 103tHunDer! I guess we can trust the rest of the info in the letter (since the color of the pumpkin was in error)......I see a blue million of the huckleberrys now, but in a few more years, they'll just disappear from the roads. That's what happened to my '94 Nostalgia......they were everywhere, and now I only see rarely. Good historical data, though. :coolblue: thanks, spyder

Not to take away from the fact that I appreciate them supplying this information, but yeah, there were some misspellings in there, too ("identifiaction," "they're were," and "Road Glides Built" [capital "B"] to name a few), which makes you wonder :confused5:, but it's as good as we got until someone comes up with something else!

Has anybody requested the 2005 production figures yet ? If not, I'd be willing to send the letter. Brian, could you PM me how to go about it ?

Bill, I'm not aware that anyone has. PM me your e-mail address, I'll send you the letter I wrote, you can edit to add your information and then send. It'll be a painless exercise that only costs 5 mins. and $0.41 and before you know it more interesting information about these awesome bikes will show up in your mailbox. :2vrolijk_21:

Done.

Done.
Just sent it to you, Bill. Thanks for doing this. I look forward to finding out what they tell you about the '05s! :2vrolijk_21:

Just got back from mailing the letter.

Hey Brian,
Next time you are in Maggie Valley make sure you get a picture on Huckleberry Lane.
Very fitting location, intersects Rt 19 (aka Soco Rd) just before the BRP on the western side of town.
Any other Brian's reading with B&B's?

Good thing spy ... get 'em all linded up for a photo under the sign.

I wonder how much longer I will be waiting to receive those 2005 production figures. It's been over a month. How long did it take for him to get back to you on the 2004 numbers?
-
Yeah, I'd have thought you'd have received a reply by now. I sent my letter on, or about, September 26 (that's what it was dated) and the reply attached to this post was dated October 11 and was received in my mailbox on October 17. That's only about 3 weeks start to finish.
-
I received Jon Selensky's reply today. I can't get my scanner to work to attach it here. He says that there were a total of 3620 2005 FLHTCSE2's made. 693 in two tone teal, 1053 yellow/silver, 1874 two tone cherry. That is 19% teal, 29% yellow, 52% cherry. Im also having computer problems today, so I hope this gets posted.

very interesting......do they decide on the run # by 'orders' from Dealer's after the show or just how? :nixweiss: spyder
-
Wow, the 2-tone teal '05 SEEG number is pretty low. :o
-
Wonder if that has anything to do w/the superstition concerning green bikes. :nixweiss:

Yeah, something drove the lower demand. :nixweiss:
I think it's cool that H-D provides this information and in case Jon's watching, just want to say "thanks." :2vrolijk_21:

It really is. I hope someone with the appropriate computer skills will compile the #'s of various CVO's that we do have some varification for.......that would be interesting to compare them. That Teal has got to be one of the more rarer, huh? :-\ spyder

Spyder, see the attachment in this first post. If Tom doesn't see this new '05 SEEG information and update the spreadsheet within a couple of days, I'll see if I can do it and keep it attached to his post.

The MSRP on the 2005 FLHTCSE2 was $29,995. That could be filled in on the spreadsheet. The 2005 FLSTFSE's were $27,995 and the 2005 VRSCSE were $25,495. I took that from the literature that I got back in 05.

Bob, have you considered doing this for the '06 SEUCs to see how the autumn haze stacks up production-wise against the other colors for that model/year?

I haven't Brian, but I guess I should. Was there a letter posted somewhere with all the contact info and what was asked?

1st try to post the letter.

This is great info to have, certainly not suprising the difference in production numbers based on what colors are here in Nor-Cal.
(Jon needs to use his spell check thought ;D)

Two tone teal was the first production color for '05 and there were many paint problems early on. I think this is the main reason for the low number of teal bikes. Exactly the same scenario as with the red 2002 CVO roadking, I think there were only about 300 of those produced.

Just a little BUMP here! Did anyone get the #s on the 2006 CUSE yet? Thanks, Dave

Thanks Bob,
Love your fleet! The Teal is one of my favorites, with my Chrimson, add a Teal and a 2001 FXDWG2 I would be complete. Dave

Let us can we know the production for France ? ::)
Bye ! SKULL 34

The best we can ever get from the MOCO is worldwide numbers. Believe it or not, we have almost every number wanted, except the 2006 FLHTCUSE? Yes we have the 2007 and 2008 totals, but nothing on the 2006. Dave

I am not the most popular with the local dealer or the MOCO. If I was to write a letter it just shut down the whole thing for everyone. Sorry, but I cost them a bunch trying to get the bike rideable.

Got one of these great linkages from Puzzled back in 2011 for my wife's '04 CVO Deuce. Great product! Picked up a bottle of touch up paint for the bike and painted the inside of the letters. Very nice effect!
